Tuesday, August 18, 2009
By Teresa Varley Steelers fans can enjoy a part of the team’s history when Behind the Scenes with the Pittsburgh Steelers: Photographs by Mike Fabus opens at the Heinz History Center.
The team’s six Super Bowl Trophies will be on display to kick off the exhibit from Monday, August 17 through Wednesday, September 2.
The photo display, which spans the almost 30 years that Fabus has been the team’s photographer, will run through January, 2010.
Among the photos that fans can see are behind the scenes photos from inside the locker room before and after games, as well as photos from the celebrations of the team’s Super Bowl XL and XLIII victories. There are a lot of other unique photos, some which have been featured on the covers of Steelers Digest and a collection of more than 40 photos that have never been featured anywhere before.
The photographs will be displayed in the Campbell Gallery on the fourth floor of the History Center, while the trophy display will be on the first floor. For more information visit www.heinzhistorycenter.org. Some of the featured photos
